About Me

Hey, I'm Akash - a Platform Engineer at ADP India. I spend most of my time building backend systems, but I genuinely enjoy taking ideas from a blank editor to something people can use.

I'm drawn to software that's simple, fast and respects its users. I prefer thoughtful design over endless features, and privacy over convenience whenever possible.

That philosophy is what led me to build Aham - a cross-platform journaling app built with React Native that works completely offline. No accounts, no cloud sync, no subscriptions. Just open the app and write.

These days I'm usually building side projects, reading about software architecture, or trying out new ideas that seem interesting enough to spend a weekend on.

Before software completely took over my life, I played chess competitively and was fortunate enough to become a South Zone Gold Medalist and National Runner-up.
